Our standard retained fee is one-third of the incumbent's estimated first year cash compensation (this includes base salary plus sign-on bonus and any expected annual bonuses and commissions).
The fee is divided into three equal parts with an initial retainer due up front to commence the search. Then, the remaining two payments are due at 30 days and 60 days out from the date of the initial retainer. Unlike larger firms, we do not charge clients an administrative fee, which can often be an additional 8-15% on top of their fee.
In addition, all ordinary search-related expenses will be billed to the client at the end of each month. This includes: international phone, and postage and shipping expenses. All other search related expenses, including consultant travel and interview expenses, are the client's responsibility, but will be approved by the client before they occur.
